Start living cruelty-free

Animal Advocacy

How many of you religiously check before purchasing an item, to ensure that it’s cruelty-free and NOT tested on animals? Yeah, that’s what I thought. I’ve been guilty of this, too. It’s hard living in a world where companies continue to make the wrong choices and refuse to change. Our animal friends continue to suffer. I love designer brands and shopping, but I’m beginning to seriously limit the amount of items bought under certain designer labels (or eliminating them all-together), because unfortunately, many of them still test on animals. I’ve never supported designers using fur in their lines, and testing on animals is just as awful. It’s incredibly hard for me to wrap my mind around those cruel enough to work in a laboratory setting, and torture animals for a living (they make pretty good money, too).

I just learned this morning, that M.A.C Cosmetics has been testing on animals, and the pictures I discovered today, were horrific. They test primarily on bunnies and kitties. As I read the article about M.A.C, I looked into my fur babies eyes and began to cry. This world is a shitty place because of how we treat the voiceless. Forget about the fact that some of us support Donald Trump (fucking idiots), but we’re still abusing animals openly. At a M.A.C Cosmetic’s laboratory, kitties are strapped down to tables, and made to lay on their backs, completely helpless, while liquids and such are poured on their skin and fur (sometimes the animal’s fur is shaved down), and eventually, their lives come to a brutal end. No one there will help these animals, or listen to their desperate cries for help. It’s no better for the bunnies. Chemicals are poured into their eyes to test whether or not we as humans, can come into contact with these products. We live in a sick world, and many refuse to change for the better. It’s truly shocking to me, that major companies don’t change their ways, to better their brand and image.

For those of you seriously interested in living cruelty-free, please check out the websites listed below and share them with friends & family:

Brands I love that DO NOT test on animals:

Wet N’ Wild

Anastasia Beverly Hills

Paul Mitchell

Too Faced

Kat Von D

LUSH Cosmetics

Always do your research, if you’re serious about living a cruelty-free life! Of course, we all own products that were tested on animals (household products are the worst), and I wish that wasn’t true. I wish for a better and easier future for my four-legged friends. It’s time to wake up and make a change. Don’t hate yourself for owning products that were tested on animals, but instead, make a cruelty-free list on your phone, and make a conscious effort to buy cruelty-free products. The more we promote the good companies, the better.

I will continue to speak for the voiceless…will you?
