Cheers 2017

It’s that time of year again…to say goodbye. I’m here to say goodbye to 2016, which was filled with love, laughter, and tears. I explored my ideas and dreams, made mistakes, felt my heart beat fast, wrote some beautiful stories, and loved a lot. It was incredible, and yet, just another year of learning and growing for me. I had to leave a few people behind in order to write new chapters. I also met some beautiful people this past year, who I’m thankful for.

Unfortunately, some people are only meant to ignite our lives for a short period of time. Flames don’t burn forever. Sometimes letting go can be healing and powerful, whether a job is no longer fulfilling, or a dream is no longer there. Other times, it’s harder to let go. There are some things that I will carry with me, always.

Thank you 2016 for showing me new, creative ideas, and ways of thinking.

Thank you for introducing me to new people and for breaking my heart a couple of times, too.

Thank you for the endless amount of love and affection.

Thank you for beautiful words and new playlists.

Thank you for the tears, good and bad.

Thank you for the storms, sunshine, and stars.

Thank you for the animals 🐶🐱🐴
Thank you for reminding me of what’s truly important, and for wisdom.

Thank you for new opportunities and dreams.

Thank you for good health and fine spirits.

Thank you for new challenges along the way and for winding roads.

Thank you for those who made me question everything.

Thank you for Long Beach Island and the ocean waves.

Thank you for long nights, sleepy mornings, and deep thoughts.

Thank you for wine, champagne, & good liquor.

Thank you for sparkly things and fashion.

Thank you for life ✨

I wish for a year filled with good health, new and exciting adventures, lots of love and light, and prosperity. Here’s to 2017! Cheers 🍻
